Botulinum Treatment for facial lines/wrinkles
A painless procedure involving the injecting of Botox® into key facial areas with the
aims of:
- Reducing frown lines
- Reducing crows feet
- Reducing brow lines
- Treating hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)
Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) can either be generalized or localized to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, axillae (arm pits), and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the relatively high concentration of sweat glands; however, any part of the body may be affected.
Botulinum toxin type A (including Botox ®): Injections of the botulinum toxin are used to disable the sweat glands. The effects can last from 4-9 months depending on the site of injections. With proper anesthesia the hand and foot injections are almost painless.
Dermal Fillers
We use a product called Restylane. This is chemically known as Hyaluronic acid, but is a naturally occurring substance. This has been purified by a company called Q-Med and comes in various forms ranging in particle size. These forms have subtle differences in their roles:
Restylane®
- Delays the signs of ageing and holds back the years to refresh looks naturally by restoring youthful volume to the skin. It lifts the skin to smooth away and soften the appearance of facial lines.
Restylane Touch®
- Fills in niggling imperfections and is very effective in treating lipstick bleed lines, sleep creases and smile lines in the cheeks.
- Also works well for frown lines in combination with Botox.
Restylane Perlane®
- Softens the harsh creases from the nose to the mouth.
- Corrects ageing ‘marionette’ lines at the corners of the mouth.
- Plumps cheeks and accentuates natural features e.g. high cheek bones.
Restylane Lip®
- For lip augmentation (pouting, voluptuous lips)
Restylane Vital®
- A new aesthetic procedure for skin rejuvenation countering the effects of sun damage. It diminishes the appearance of ‘leathery’ skin on the backs of hands and upper chest by hydrating the skin.
